FAQs for the new website

  • Are the film stocks readily available for shipment?
    Yes, unless otherwise stated in the product page, all films are in-stock and ready to be shipped out immediately.
  • What are the expiry dates of the films?
    All our films are fresh unless stated otherwise. Items in the 'Rarities & Expired' category are mostly expired, and are clearly stated. We work hard to keep low stock count and replenish with new stocks whenever possible. All high-ISO films and rare films are refrigerated in a dedicated fridge, hence freshness are guaranteed.
  • How soon will I get the items delivered at my doorstep?
    Within Australia, we use standard AusPost delivery methods, with estimated delivery time of 4-7 business days, depending on distance from Melbourne, VC. Express postage option is also available with 2-3 business days delivery, depending on your address. Overseas postage varies depending on countries/geo-locations.   • Can I get the films in "pro-pack" box packaging?
    Yes we provide the pro-pack when you purchase multiple rolls of the film (for example some Kodak film in 5 roll pro-pack, and Lomography film in 3-roll pro-pack). In fact, we have to dispose so many empty pro-pack boxes from single-roll purchases, so do let us know if you want those empty boxes too (simply pay for the postage) 🙂
  • I am worry that the postman will leave my package at my address in the outdoor heat. What can I do?
    Auspost offer a free service called 'Parcel Collect', of which you will be given a 'Parcel Collect' address. We can post to that address, where your parcel will be kept in your chosen post office's store room away from the outdoor heat. Simply apply online at Auspost, then give us that address when you check out on our website, and we will send the package there.
  • How would the expired films results look like?
    Generally speaking, the longer the expiry date, the less predictable the results will be. Films with shorter expiry date (within 3 years after expiry) tends to still produce great results with almost insignificatn degradation of image quality. This also varies for different films, with slide films being most intolerant. But hey, one of the reasons people shoot with expired films is for its unpredictability, which is part of the joy of shooting films. We have personally shot many such films before, and sometimes the results really seemed hard to accept at first, but if you let it sink in for a while, it really looks kind of cool and unique!
  • Will the shipment be packed properly?
    Yes, we take great care of your purchase. The items will be packed in box and kept light, so you can buy more with minimum postage cost!
  • Is it safe to use credit card for payment?
    Yes, we use secured credit card payment gateway to process all your credit card payments. Credit card details are never stored on our system, and it is securely 'tokenized' when processed through authorized PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway, which means they don't store any credit card details either. We can never re-process/charge your credit card without your permission. On top of that, our website is accessible via secured HTTPS connection, and it is considered very safe from hacking. Rest assured your transaction is safe here.
  • What is the return/refund policy?

  • How to redeem gift card?
    You need your unique gift card code, which was emailed to you (or the recipient of the gift card) It will look something like 3G4X3U3XXM13X1PK. Browse our store and add items to your cart as you normally would. Click the 'Check Out' link to begin check-out of your shopping cart. Before confirming payment, click the 'Redeem a Gift card' link and type in your gift card code, then click Apply. We are always happy to help if you have any issue. Simply contact us.
  • I have problem using the new website. What can I do?
    Please refer to the FAQs page for the new site here, or contact us if you have further questions.
  • What's new?
    Please check out our new blog entry here.
  • Where are the orders I placed just recently?
    Don't worry, your orders from the old site are safe with us, and we will ship them out just as normal (within the next day or two) 😀 You will receive an email once your orders have been shipped. Please don't hesitate to contact us should you have any questions.
  • Where can I find my past orders from the old site?
    There are a few ways to retrieve past orders you placed on the old site: Please refer to the emails that you have received from us (with the email address info@decisivemoment.com.au) when you placed your past orders. Please contact us, and we will gladly retrieve your past orders for you. Regrettably, orders you placed on the old website are not visible on this new website.
  • I have problem logging into the new website.
    Please feel free to sign up on the new website if you have not already done so. You may use the same email address from the old website for the sign-up. Please contact us if you still have problem logging in after signing up on the new website.
  • The Gift card I purchased no longer works on the new website.
    Please contact us, and we will track down the gift card. If the gift card is not usable, we will issue a refund.
  • What happened to my request to be notified when an item is back in stock?
    We will re-enrol your email address to the back-in-stock requests over the next few days, after which you will receive an email of the new back-in-stock requests. You are however, more than welcome to re-enrol yourself in the back-in-stock request by using the 'Notify When Available' button on the product pages.
